After his studies of architecture and urban development in Darmstadt and Vienna, Jan Löken received a Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in New York.

From 1997 to 2000 he developed media-supported spaces for marketing and communication purposes and virtual, interactive environments in several projects at Asymptote Architecture, New York and a/plex, Berlin.

From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Löken was Creative Director with personnel responsibility for the design department in the Interactive Environments department at Pixelpark AG. During this time, numerous projects in the areas of showroom, trade fair, experience world, Expo, as well as corporate design have been developed.

Since the foundation of studio klv in 2002, he manages the architecture and design departments as executive director.
