Japanese woodcuts
Lyrical landscapes, elegant geishas and dramatic theatre scenes: The precious Japanese woodcuts which have been part of the collection of the Städtische Museen Freiburg since 1903 have been reevaluated and newly interpreted for a special exhibition at the Haus der Graphischen Sammlung. We planned and designed the exhibition.

Typeface
In representations of Japanese woodblock prints, writing plays an important role. Often, these prints are incorporated within free picture composition. On these premises, we opted for a contemporary typeface which is easy to read due to its clear formal language and allows for individual keywords to be represented in decorative typography.
