Exploring innovation

studio klv researches new media and educational approaches and their possible applications in exhibitions and visitor centres. We carry out research projects in cooperation with universities, research institutes and companies. In doing so, we develop prototypical forms of communication and interaction with regard to a “Participative Scientific Society”.

Experience and education

At the interface of experience and education, we develop novel approaches that enable knowledge transfer and competence acquisition in a playful, exciting and independent way.

An example of this is the “International Nature Exhibition”, a testing and development project sponsored by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN). Within the framework of this project, we have developed a participatory process that integrates numerous exhibition modules on the topic of ” Humans and Nature” in a model way.

Interaction and Interfaces

As an effective instrument we use interactive experiences. Research into new forms of interaction and innovative interfaces for human-technology interaction is the focus of our development work.

One example of this is the research project Be-Greifen, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), in which we develop new interaction methods in an interdisciplinary team in order to combine practice and theory by means of interactive experiments.

Augmented Reality

A great opportunity for numerous educational contexts is the interactive enrichment of reality with a wide variety of information. For this purpose we develop experiences with various technical applications such as Google Glass or Microsoft HoloLens.
